The CAFR contains three sections: an introductory section, a financial section, and a statistical section and presents the financial condition of the State for the fiscal year ended June 30 of each year. The CAFR is prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and is audited by independent Certified Public Accountants each fiscal year.
Payroll services strives to provide friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable support to State agencies within the Department of Administration. Some of the services include assistance with health insurance benefits, retirement, and annual and sick leave accruals. Forms, such as direct deposit, withholding, leave, and WV Paycard are available for download.
Our Accounting Section has two divisions that serve Department of Administration Agencies: Accounting Services and Managerial Services. Our Vendor Administrator seeks to provide friendly and courteous services to the citizens of West Virginia, in-state and out-of-state vendors, and all State agencies. Responsibilities include administration of the statewide vendor file, and a thorough knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code for completion of IRS forms W8, W9, and 1099.

Welcome to the Finance Division of the Department of Administration. The Finance Division provides financial management, accounting, and payroll services to the agencies of the Department of Administration. In addition, we are responsible for the issuance of the State's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and Single Audit.
