The ACFR presents the financial condition of the State for the fiscal year ended June 30th of each year. The ACFR is prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and is audited by independent Certified Public Accountants. The State has been honored with the receipt of the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting since 1995.
ACFR staff responsibilities include the following:
- Provide agency training on financial reporting
- Oversight of closing book forms, which aid in financial reporting
- Preparation of ACFR, including financial statements, notes, and supporting schedules
- Coordination and aid in the external audit of the ACFR
- ACFR awards
